Eza Watches “1972”
This new automatic watch is a re-issue of an original Eza timepiece from 1972. This timepiece is available in two versions.
First is an exact copy of the original piece made in the 70’s. This watch has the size and building materials of a watch of that time. Its 36mm diameter stainless steel case is topped with a domed plexi-glass inspired by the watches of the 1970s.
Further, this timepiece is supplied with a spare plexi-glass. Available in blue or black color, its dial hosts a three-central-hands layout with Super-LumiNova on the 3 hands and a date display at 3 ‘o clock.
This timepiece has a water resistance of 30 meters. The Eza Watches “1972” 36mm model is available in a limited series of 100 pieces with blue and 100 pieces with black dials. The unique numbers start with 0011972, going up to 1001972.
EZA watches also made a more modern version of a watch with the same design. This version features a case of 39.5mm stainless steel case, a domed sapphire glass, ceramic bezel, 200M water resistance and Super-LumiNova on the hands and bezel. This model is available with black or dark blue dial.
Inside both versions, ticks the reliable ETA 2824-2 movement, adjusted to six positions in house by Eza watches. Some minor details were changed in order to comply with the modern standard of quality and durability.
The designing and prototyping of the watches is done in Switzerland by Adriaan, the current owner of Eza watches.
The 1972 is Eza’s third watch since its resurrection in 2016 and it comes under the brand’s “Vintage Collection”. The first two models – Sealander and AirFighter – belong to the brand’s “Contemporary Collection”.
