Seals watch company has created Model A.5, the latest evolution of the brand’s inaugural Model A series. To create this timepiece, the US based watch brand has collaborated with designer, and long-time friend Matt Smith-Johnson.
This new timepiece takes inspiration from the colorful watches of the 1970’s, and Matt’s unique sense of style and design. This unique collaboration also marks the end of production for the inaugural Model A watch series.
This automatic watch comes in a stainless steel case enhanced with satin brushing and polishing. Boasting a highly distinguishable shape, the case measures 41.00mm diameter and it provides a water resistance of 100 meters along with its screw-locked crown, sapphire crystal front glass and solid case-back.
The Model A.5 will be available in both “Acid Green” and “Burgundy Roulette” configurations: The chapter ring on Acid Green model uses a special pigment that is much brighter than the standard neon green.
As for the Burgundy Roulette, the tri-color 24-hour chapter ring brings a bold retro flair to the collection. This vibrant new watch edition boasts some uncommon features like the lollipop style seconds hand and the sans serif Roman numerals. The hour-markers and all the three hands are embedded with Swiss SuperLumiNova.
Powering each Model A.5 watch is a Miyota 9039 automatic movement manufactured in Japan. Bearing 24 jewels, this 3-hands self-winding mechanical caliber provides a power reserve of 42 hours approximately. Each timepiece is fitted with a custom designed, proprietary steel bracelet.
This new watch is available for $800 USD each.
