Swiss watch brand Oris presents the limited edition 57th Reno Air Races watch.
Held in the Nevada desert since 1964, the Reno Air Races is a spectacular, daredevil event followed by aviation enthusiasts. Due to the global Covid-19 pandemic, the 57th Reno Air Races have been cancelled this year and deferred to 2021. However, Oris, the event’s Official Timepiece and long-term partner has decided to continue the tradition of creating a limited-edition watch in support of this spectacular air-racing competition.
Oris has created the 57th Reno Air Races Limited Edition, a grey PVD-coated version of the Oris Big Crown ProPilot with second-time zone and circular date window functions. Only 1,000 pieces will be made.
The watch houses the Calibre 798 self-winding mechanical movement (base Sellita SW330-1) with a power reserve of 42 hours. Made from stainless steel, the Grey PVD coated case measures 41mm diameter and features domed sapphire crystal glass with AR coating, solid grey-PVD and screwed case-back with special engravings and grey-PVD, screw-in security crown.
It has a water resistance up to 100 meters. The black dial features Super-LumiNova® coated hands and applied numerals.
The Oris 57th Reno Air Races watch comes fitted with a black textile strap with blue leather lining and a grey PVD-coated stainless steel folding clasp.
