Carl F. Bucherer Heritage Tourbillon DoublePeripheral White Gold Limited Edition

Carl F. Bucherer expands its Heritage collection with a new white gold Heritage Tourbillon DoublePeripheral watch.

The exclusive Heritage collection by Carl F. Bucherer was introduced in 2018 with the Heritage Tourbillon DoublePeripheral in rose gold. This year, the Lucerne based luxury watch manufacture presents a white gold Heritage Tourbillon DoublePeripheral watch in a limited run of 88 timepieces.

The dial side of the new Heritage Tourbillon DoublePeripheral is gracefully restrained. The focus of attention is the tourbillon, which appears to be floating. The delicate, peripherally mounted tourbillon draws all eyes to its position at 12 o’clock.

It is embedded in a silver dial featuring a sunburst finish and milled rings decorating its edge, paired with appliquéd diamond-shaped indices, all of which is built into a case with long, slender lugs and a convex box crystal. These retro design elements, inspired by various historical references from the 1960s and 1970s, give this elegant timepiece subtle vintage charm.

The sapphire crystal back of the 42.5 mm white gold case reveals the magnificent 18-karat white gold movement bridge.

This covers the entire back of the movement, with the exception of the tourbillon. Decorated with an elaborate engraving of a city view of Lucerne, it is an ode to Carl F. Bucherer’s home. At the center of the intricate engraving is the Chapel Bridge, the landmark of the city.

A swan floating on the water is reminiscent of Schwanenplatz, the place where Carl F. Bucherer opened his first watch and jewelry business in 1888. The position of the swan differs on each of the 88 timepieces.

At the heart of the Heritage Tourbillon DoublePeripheral, you will find the in-house CFB T3000 caliber, in which both the tourbillon and automatic winding system are peripherally mounted, a technology perfected by Carl F. Bucherer and protected by patents.

The watch is driven by a bidirectional automatic winding mechanism with a peripherally turning rotor in 22-karat rhodium-plated rose gold. State-of-the-art silicon technology also gives the pallet and escape wheel anti-magnetic resistance, and the Swiss Chronometer Institute (COSC), a renowned chronometer testing center, confirms the outstanding precision of this exceptional caliber with an individual certificate.
