Decima Watches, the young watch brand based in Tirana, Albania, presents the Scylla, an automatic dive watch crafted from bronze and tested for an impressive water resistance up to 500 meters.
Decima Scylla is inspired by ancient Roman-Greek water “monster” of the same name. Scylla is a beautiful women stuck forever in between 12 monsters attached to her belly, that kill anyone in her field of vision. Each edge of the bezel symbolizes the monsters attached to her belly and the dial symbolizes the beautiful women stuck in between them.
The Scylla features a unique 8 sided chamfered CuSn8 bronze case and a 12 sided bezel of the same material with a rounded ceramic insert. All these geometric shapes combined create a spectacular case design for the Decima Scylla. Its case-back features an engraving of Scylla, the mythological monster.
The high double domed shape of the sapphire crystal lens brings out the dial characteristics and highlights the watch face, while also creating a soft, even tone of light on the two tone gradient watch face.
The Scylla features two tone gradient dials with C3 SuperLuminova, applied metal indexes and custom made diamond cut hands filled with C3 SuperLuminova. The dials come in 3 color variations: Blue, Green and Brown.
The Scylla is powered by the highly reliable Swiss Made Sellita SW200–1 self-winding movement. Equipped with a date complication, this robust movement features a 38 hour power reserve and beats at the high frequency of 28,800 beats per hour.
The DECIMA Scylla Bronze is a limited series collection. There are only 60 pieces ever manufactured, equally divided in 3 color variations: the blue version, the green version and the brown version.
