Longines Heritage Classic Chronograph 1946
Swiss watch brand Longines has extended its Heritage segment with a new interpretation, the Longines Heritage Classic Chronograph 1946, the re-issue to a timepiece produced in the late 1940s.
Dressed in a 40mm stainless steel case, the Longines Heritage Classic Chronograph 1946 model houses a self-winding chronograph movement developed exclusive for the brand (L895.5). This engine is based on the ETA A31.L21 movement.
The L895.5 calibre features 37 jewels and beats at 28,800 vph. It has a power reserve of 54 hours. This automatic movement drives hours, minutes, small seconds and stopwatch functions featuring central chronograph seconds and 30 minute counter.
In keeping with the design of the historic timepiece that inspired it, the Longines Heritage Classic Chronograph 1946 model features a domed silvered opaline dial enhanced by two finely sculpted counters (30-minute chronograph at 9 o’clock and small seconds counter at 3 o’clock), and italic dolphin styled Arabic numerals.
At 12 o’ clock of the dial, the brand name LONGINES is subtly applied in an antique style. The blued steel hands enhance the beauty of the dial, topped with an anti-reflection sapphire crystal glass.
This Longines Chronograph model is fitted with a semi-matte black leather strap featuring a soft texture and a resolutely vintage finish. The watch is water-resistant up to 30 meters.
