Rado recreates its iconic Golden Horse 1957 watch with a pristine new look whilst maintaining its vintage characteristics. A true homage to the original, this new timepiece is limited to 1957 pieces.
An iconic timepiece not only because of its emblematic design, but also as the watch name states, 1957 signifies a key milestone for Rado – it was the year the Swiss watchmaker released for the first time watches under the Rado brand name.
This special timepiece incorporates some of Rado’s most precious vintage characteristics. The Golden Horse 1957 comes with the original indexes and hands, the two traditional golden seahorses just above six O’clock, and the red date at three O’clock, – an emblematic feature of Rado watches from the 60s and 70s. A box-shaped sapphire crystal, replacing the polymer glass used in the past, secures the deep blue or lush green dials.
The colour gradient dial highlight Rado’s classic red anchor, an original feature from the past that signified the watch was automatic. The steel case back is adorned with 3 stamped seahorses and a special engraving stating: LIMITED EDITION ONE OUT OF 1957.
It comes in a 37mm diameter polished stainless steel case and houses an ETA C07.611 movement. This timepiece is paired with a vintage style rice-grain bracelet that perfectly accommodates to the wrist of the wearer.
