Ardor & Forge Rothrock
Ardor & Forge is an independent watch brand based in Tyrone in Pennsylvania. The brand has recently announced the launch of Rothrock, a rugged adventure watch with proprietary stone-finish texture and real oak accents.
Taking inspiration from the Rothrock State Forest in central Pennsylvania, this new timepiece is specially designed for adventurous loving men. The Rothrock State Forest forest is named after Dr. Joseph Rothrock (1839-1922), the conservationist who played a lead role in preserving and rejuvenating forests in Pennsylvania.
The Rothrock watch comes in a 42mm diameter stainless steel case featuring a unique stone finish texture inspired by the rocky terrains of the Rothrock State Forest. Oak accents, matte finishes and an earth tone palette create a bold design aesthetic that echoes the natural wonder of the forest. You can discover the distinctive oak accent on rehaut, crown and oscillating rotor of the automatic movement.
The watch is equipped with the Seiko NH35 Japanese automatic movement, a 24 jewels caliber with a power reserve of 41 hours. Other features of this timepiece are lumed dial, screw-down crown, sapphire crystal front glass and transparent caseback.
Four dial variants are available. The Rothrock watch will be produced as an exclusive limited edition – only 125 of each variant will be made. Ardor & Forge launched a Kickstarter campaign on 24 March 2020 to raise funds for the initial mass production of the Rothrock watch collection.
During this crowd-funding campaign (24 March to 23 April 2020), supporters of this project can avail special discount prices starting from US$ 350 (future detail price will be US$ 550). Estimated delivery from August 2020.
To support conservation efforts, a portion of sales from the Rothrock will go directly to the PA Parks & Forests Foundation and to Rothrock State Forest specifically.
