NOTSAG aquaelite Collection
NOTSAG is a Los Angeles-based watch brand created in 2018 by Laurent Chardin Rischmann. The brand aims to offer elegant, automatic, Swiss made timepieces in limited series in affordable price range cutting the usual distributor/marketing/retail costs and by applying a very low margin.
The brand’s first collection aquaelite is made of two diver watches powered by powerful and reliable Soprod automatic movements. The aquaelite type I model is equipped with a Soprod C140 self-winding movement and displays hour, minute and seconds and power reserve. The aquaelite type II model is powered by a Soprod C115 self-winding movement, which drives hour, minute, seconds, power reserve and second time-zone/GMT functions. Power reserve of both models is 42 hours when fully wound.
The aquaelite watches feature Stainless Steel 316L medical grade, brushed case with diameter of 42mm and 12.6mm thickness (13.56mm with glasses). PVD variants are also available. Water resistant to 200 meters these timepieces are topped with domed sapphire crystal front glass. These diving watches are fitted with a 120 clicks unidirectional ceramic bezel featuring luminous markings. The watches employ the Superluminova BGW9 for ensuring night time visibility.
The sapphire crystal caseback provides the view of mechanical self-winding movement beating inside the watch. Each model is limited to 999 pieces. The NOTSAG aquaelite collection will be available for pre-order on the website store from April 1st, 2020. Delivery is scheduled for December 2020.
NOTSAG is the anagram of GASTON, Laurent’s older son born in 2010. Since birth Gaston is facing a lot of intellectual and physical challenges, including mitochondrial disease, severe autism and a GABBR2 mutation. 20% of net profits will go to Gaston’s Journey charity to support Mitochondrial Disease research.
