Raketa “Polar” Automatic Watch

This 24-hour automatic watch is inspired by a soviet model specially designed for polar explorers.

The Raketa Polar watch is inspired by the iconic Raketa model that was specially made in 1970 for Soviet polar explorers working in the extreme Antarctic conditions. The dial was specially divided into 24 hours so that the wearer could always tell the exact time even beyond the polar circle, where there is no distinction between day and night.

This new model is even better: the dial is protected by an ultra-resistant sapphire glass; the luminous paint on the hands and figures enables the wearer to tell the time in the total darkness of the polar winter; and the case can resist a pressure of 20 ATM (equal to the pressure under 200 metres of water).

Raketa “Polar” Automatic Watch

The Russian engineers of the Raketa Watch Factory have fitted this model with an automatic movement that they have entirely designed and produced in Saint Petersburg. The decoration of the movement reminds you of the polar (northern) lights that can be seen in the polar sky.

The Raketa Polar watch has been officially certified by the Russian Federal Agency for Technical Regulation & Metrology to comply with all the requirements necessary to survive in the harsh polar environment (every watch is delivered with its own individual certificate).
