Allemano Misuratori del Tempo 1919 Collection

The Italian brand Allemano proudly carries a rich tradition that dates back to 1856, when Giuseppe Allemano founded a heavy-carpentry company in Turin. In the beginning of 20th century the company started producing the measuring tools for the control of pressure and temperatures. Today, the Allemano Company is a world leader in analogue & digital pressure gauges, manual pressure generators, vehicles instrumentation, analogue thermometers, transducers, dynamometers, load cells, torque indicators and digital indicators.

In 2019, the company ventured into watchmaking by introducing the Allemano Misuratori del Tempo 1919 collection, a brand new wristwatch line that takes inspiration from the Allemano Felice 1919 pressure gauge installed on board of the FIAT 501 Torpedo, the very first automobile to be serially-produced by the Italian car manufacturer FIAT.

Thanks to the Misuratori del Tempo timepieces, the brand Allemano brings its precision instrument manufacturing tradition back to life and reintroduces its instruments’ daily use. Allemano is close to the people again, exactly as a century ago, when manometers were to be found on board of the FIAT Torpedo, the very first automobile to become a symbol for the Italian motorisation.

Those instruments soon became icons for the time, just like the glorious model FIAT 501, representing the synchronicity of Allemano’s technology with the taste of the audience. Meanwhile a long and brilliant company history developed and now, thanks to the 1919 Collection, it communicates one more time directly to those who, as back then, are seeking for emotions and style.

In 2018 Allemano obtained the certification UNI EN ISO 9001: 2015 for the design and manufacture of the Misuratori del Tempo. The watches are designed and assembled in the company’s own workshops in Italy.

The Misuratori del Tempo collection offers three distinct watch models: MAN, GMT and DAY. Equipped with Swiss made mechanical movements, these timepieces feature 44mm diameter case in stainless steel with sandblasted, brushed and polished finish. The watch case features a unique round shaped design that pays homage to analogue gauges. Water resistant to 50 meters, the watches are fitted with scratch-resistant sapphire crystal glasses on front and case back.

MAN
MAN

All Allemano watches are equipped with the precise mechanical movements manufactured in Switzerland. Allemano uses an exclusive movement such as the Fabior FW 98 Retrograde for the model MAN. Swiss experience and craftsmanship based on the Eta 6498 movement, which enables the minute hand to move from 0 to 60 and to skip back and restart, just like a pointer pressure gauge.

GMT

For GMT and DAY models, Allemano chose Sellita, the Swiss independent company specialized in manufacturing automatic mechanical movements, which has been combining for years its own calibers with the best products in the field.

The model SW 330-1 is GMT’s beating heart, which reminds the “double scale” in manometry; SW 200-1, the model which brought Sellita to success in its field, guarantees DAY’s exact and punctual pace, the model which recalls the standard pressure gauge.

DAY

The model Allemano MAN, with its antique white or black dial, features a centre hours hand inspired by the indicator of the Allemano Felice 1919 pressure gauge installed on board of the FIAT 501 Torpedo, a retrograde minutes hand at 12 o’clock, and a small seconds hand at 6 o’clock.

Specially created for globetrotters, the model Allemano GMT features an antique white dial with centre hour, minute and seconds hands for primary time indication, an additional centre hand in red to indicate the second-time zone and a date window at 3 o’ clock. The Allemano DATE model features a black dial with golden hour and minute hands, red seconds hand and date window at 3 o’ clock. In both GMT and DATE models, the minute hand is inspired by the indicator of the Allemano Felice 1919 pressure gauge.

Every Misuratore del Tempo watch features on the dial a distinctive serial number, which guarantees authenticity and uniqueness.
