Marnaut SeaScape 200 Automatic Diving Watch

Founded by horology enthusiast Mario Jutronic, Marnaut, the micro-watch brand based in Croatia announces the launch of their second timepiece, the SeaScape 200.

This recreational dive watch follows the footsteps of their successful debut model, the Marnaut Dark Surge 300 model launched in 2018. The Marnaut Dark Surge 300 is an automatic diving watch with a water resistance of 300 meters. With a case measuring 42mm diameter and 13mm thickness, in 316L stainless steel or Black IP plated steel finishing, this timepiece features a black matte dial and houses a Miyota 9015 automatic movement.

Presenting this year is the Marnaut SeaScape 200 diving watch with a water resistance of 20 atm/200 meters/660 ft. Suitable for recreational diving activities and other ocean adventurous events, this timepiece with a distinctive twin-crown design takes inspiration from the iconic super compressor dive watch designs of 1960s.

The Marnaut SeaScape 200 model features a stainless steel case (Black IP Plated case is also available) measuring 40mm diameter, 48mm lug to lug height, 13mm thickness and 20mm lug width. The watchcase features circular and vertical brushed finish.

Topped with a scratch resistant, double domed sapphire crystal glass, the timepiece proudly displays an enamel finished matte black dial featuring symmetrically raised indexes (34 in total) fashioned on the exoskeleton of the sea urchin. To ensure the legibility in the dark conditions, the raised hour-indexes, hands and bezel markings are applied with SuperLumiNova C3 luminescent coating.

The watch also incorporates a rotating inner bezel that can be operated by the crown positioned at 2H. The time setting crown at 4H has a double O-ring, screw-in design and features brand logo on the top.

The Marnaut SeaScape 200 is secured with a screw-down and gasket sealed stainless steel caseback. The watch houses a Miyota 9015 Automatic movement. Beating at 28,800bph this mechanical engine can provide a 42-hour plus reserve.

Three SeaScape 200 models are available: MSS 200R – Stainless steel case with black dial and silver inner bezel; MSS 200C – Stainless steel case with black dial and black inner bezel; and MSS 200B – Black IP coated stainless steel case with black dial and black inner bezel.
