Konstantin Chaykin Clown 2 Audacity

Konstantin Chaykin has created a new version of the famous Clown watch. Limited to 88 pieces, this new model is known as Clown 2 Audacity.

Introduced in 2017, the original Konstantin Chaykin Clown watch was inspired by the dancing clown Pennywise, a scary character coined by Stephen King.

With the release of the new Clown, Konstantin Chaykin evokes the remarkable achievement of the first Clown as a winner of the Audacity Prize of the GPHG (Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève) 2018.

All the 27 copies of the first limited edition of the Konstantin Chaykin Clown watch were immediately sold out in 2017. So when his watch was pre-selected for the Geneva Grand Prix contest in November 2018, Konstantin Chaykin submitted a functioning prototype of the original model to the jury. This prototype won the GPHG Audacity Prize of that year.

Konstantin Chaykin was the first Russian watchmaker to won the Audacity Prize of the Geneva Grand Prix. Clown 2 Audacity is the appropriate name for the new watch, and not only because it cites the designation of the GPHG award, but also because it is really a daring watch.

For the Clown 2 Audacity watch, a new design of the famous Chaykin’s dial with dancing eyes – hour and minute indicators, and with a famous smile – a moon phase indicator, was developed.

The color scheme of the watch is set by blue eyes and a golden outline of the dial – this color scheme is repeated in a blue alligator strap with yellow stitching.

There is a relief image of a mysteriously symmetrical and completely deserted circus tent on the case back of the Clown 2 Audacity watch.
