ArtyA Son of a Gun No Refusal “Classic Edition”

Many high-end collectors are also gun lovers, delighting in the craftsmanship and attention to detail of a high-end firearm. To celebrate this slightly strange marriage between Swiss high watchmaking and firearms, Yvan Arpa for ArtyA introduced the Son of a Gun Watch in 2011.

After a great worldwide success anew more elegant version is born in 2019, The Son of a Gun Classic Edition. The pieces showcase eleven real 6mm Flobert head of bullets suspended in the dial.

At the centre of this target sit 3 hands showing hours, minutes and seconds. Beneath it there is an automatic Swiss Made movement – completely hidden away, so there’s nothing to distract from the primary aim, be it; telling the time, or – in terms of marksmanship – hitting the bull’s eye. The Son of a Classic Edition allows for both.

The assembly comes in the firm’s 44-mm diameter Classic case, made of steel with or without PVD Treatment and with or without engraved bezel– and thus providing perfect visual harmony with the hands and targets, also made from the same metal, as are the case inserts.

At three o’clock there is the firm’s iconic knurled crown, in exactly the same style as on a historic gun barrel. The Son of a Gun Classic is designed to be a minimalist, highly coherent model, with just 99 watches produced. The hand engraved version comes in 9 unique pieces each different
