Montblanc Heritage Line – Heritage Pulsograph Limited Edition, Heritage Perpetual Calendar Limited Edition, Heritage Monopusher Chronograph, Heritage GMT, Heritage Automatic Day Date and Heritage Automatic

Inspired by historical Minerva classic wristwatches from the 1940s and 1950s, the new Heritage product line from Montblanc combines the elegance of watchmaking past with today’s bold design codes and technology: Vintage aesthetics include domed dials with two finishings and dots as indexes combined with 1940-50’s inspired colours such as salmon, smoked-caramel and silvery-white.

Fully polished cases from 39 to 42 mm feature curved horns with facets and are fitted with sapphire crystal glass boxes for an elegant historical look. The new Heritage product line integrates a comprehensive range of movements inspired by high-end Minerva calibres from the past to a new perpetual calendar calibre, and a new mid-range monopusher chronograph that is quite rare and highly functional.

The new Heritage product line is dedicated to sophisticated men who appreciate playing with their own personal look. Inspired by bespoke cuts and luxurious fabrics, they are setting the trend in masculine elegance with a new language of refinement and ‘sartorial’ knowledge that translates into a cool, confident and relaxed style.

This Spirit of Sophisticated Elegance, that combines a modern style with an attention to detail, is the essence of the new Montblanc Heritage product line design. This sophisticated elegant aesthetic is reflected in the new Montblanc Heritage product line as each timepiece incorporates time-honoured horological know-how with vintage classical design codes. The Montblanc Manufacture in Villeret — the former home of Minerva established in Villeret since 1858 — has an extraordinary treasure trove of archives that provide both watchmaking knowledge and a constant source of inspiration for the brand’s creative and technical teams.

Montblanc Heritage Pulsograph Limited Edition 100

The highlight of the Maison’s new product line is the Heritage Pulsograph Limited Edition 100, a timepiece inspired by what collectors call the ‘doctor’s watches’, that were used by physicians in the past to check a patient’s heart rate.

This 40-mm timepiece comes in steel and is powered by the Montblanc Manufacture monopusher chronograph calibre MB M13.21 visible through the caseback, and includes a doctor’s pulsograph indication graduated for 30 pulsations.

Its elegant salmon-coloured domed dial features several vintage design codes that can be seen on Minerva wristwatches from the 1940s and 50s:

• Domed dial with two zone different colours and finishes.
• Anthracite applied Arabic numerals and dots as indexes.
• Bent central Dauphine hour- and minute-hands with Super-LumiNova coating and blued baton hands.
• Rack minuterie.
• Old school international payphone indications of 3, 6 and 9 minutes on the chronograph’s minute counter.
• Matching anthracite Sfumato alligator leather strap.

Montblanc Heritage Perpetual Calendar Limited Edition 100

The Montblanc Heritage Perpetual Calendar features a brand new manufacture movement, the calibre MB 29.22, that indicates the hours, minutes, day, date, month, moonphase and leap year in an extremely legible way thanks to its large counters at 3, 6 and 9 o’clock. The movement took three years to develop and is composed solely of wheels, in contrast to most perpetual calendars that use levers. This enables the user to adjust the watch via the crown in both directions, making it far simpler to set.

In addition to this, another new safety feature developed by the Montblanc movement engineers prevents the user from setting the watch between the hours of 8 pm and 12 pm, when any manipulation could damage the movement as the correctors are locked.

The new Montblanc Heritage Perpetual Calendar is powered by a self-winding movement with a 48-hour power reserve and is also equipped with a very practical dual-time function and a 24-hour indicator, which are particularly useful when travelling. Housed in a 40 mm case with a choice of 18 K red gold for the limited edition, or stainless steel for the regular edition, the elegance of the case is highlighted by refined curved horns, a domed sapphire glass box and a distinctive silvery-white dial.

Montblanc Heritage Monopusher Chronograph

Montblanc presents a new monopusher chronograph — one of the technical pillars of Minerva movement crafting knowledge — offering an accessibly priced model at the centre of the Heritage product line.

The Montblanc Heritage Monopusher Chronograph features the latest chronograph design within the Montblanc product line with a domed, silvery-white dial with two different finishes, giving the timepiece an elegant and sophisticated look. The dial is also adorned with anthracite applied Arabic numerals, dots as indexes; a rack minuterie; bent Dauphine hour and minute hands with Super-LumiNova; and blued baton hands for the seconds and subdial indications.

A closer look at the minutes chronograph counter at three o’clock reveals an indicator for 3, 6 and 9 minutes— a vintage touch from the days when we used coin-operated telephones and needed to track the length and cost of a call. This 42 mm timepiece comes in a fully-polished stainless steel case with curved horns, a domed sapphire glass box and the Minerva Manufacture embossing on the case back.

The mid-range monopusher movement is a nod to the long history of Minerva’s monopusher chronographs. The timepiece is completed with the choice of a Sfumato alligator leather strap from Richemont Pelletteria in Florence, Italy, or a steel Milanese mesh bracelet.

Montblanc Heritage GMT

The Montblanc Heritage GMT comes in a 40 mm, fully-polished stainless steel case with curved horns and the Minerva Manufacture embossing on the caseback. It is available in three versions — with a silvery-white domed dial and a grey Sfumato alligator-skin strap, with a steel mesh Milanese bracelet, or with a salmon-coloured domed dial and a grey Sfumato alligator-skin strap coming from Richemont Pelletteria in Florence, Italy.

The three models have matching-coloured applied Arabic numerals, dots as indexes and hands, as well as domed sapphire crystals. The timepiece is powered by an automatic calibre equipped with a 24-hour GMT complication.

Montblanc Heritage Automatic Day Date

The Heritage Automatic Day Date comes in a 39 mm, fully-polished stainless steel case with curved horns and the Minerva Manufacture embossing on the case back. The domed silvery-white dial has applied Arabic numerals, dots as indexes and hands that have been rhodium-plated to match the colour of the case.

The timepiece is completed with a domed sapphire glass and a grey Sfumato alligator leather strap from Richemont Pelletteria in Florence, Italy.

Montblanc Heritage Automatic

The Montblanc Heritage Automatic comes in a 40-mm stainless steel case with a choice of a silvery-white or salmon-coloured dial.

Both dials are adorned with applied Arabic numerals, dots as indexes and hands that are rhodium-coated or anthracite-coloured and enhanced with Super-LumiNova.

There is also the option for a 18K red gold version with a sophisticated smoked-caramel-coloured dial and red gold-coated applied dots as indexes.

Tested for 500 hours, the Montblanc Heritage Automatic is powered by Montblanc’s MB 24.27 automatic movement. There are options for both stainless steel models with a grey Sfumato alligator strap coming from Richemont Pelletteria in Florence, Italy, or a steel mesh Milanese bracelet. The red gold version is equipped with a brown Sfumato alligator strap.
