From its first launch in 1993, the Royal Oak Offshore has always been associated with adventure, continuously pushing the limits with new performances and new materials. This year continues the tradition with these highly engineered ceramic chronographs. In a range of different camouflage colours, they are made for trailblazers.
These 44 mm chronographs combine ceramic bezel, push-pieces and screw-locked crown, “Méga-Tapisserie” dial, robust rubber straps and water resistance to 100 m. Harder than steel, ceramic withstands high temperatures, thermal shocks, scratches and the passing years.
Colouring ceramic requires a complex research stage to find the right pigments, as well as a long and delicate manufacturing process. While the blue and green models feature a stainless steel case, the brown model is endowed with an 18-carat pink gold case that nicely sets off the bezel’s brown ceramic, used for the first time at Audemars Piguet.
