After the successful launch of D-Day C-47 special edition watch to pay tribute to the legendary C-47 aircraft “That’s All, Brother”, US watch brand Tockr is launching a second edition of the same series.

On June 6, 1944, a C-47 aircraft lead the combat charge into Normandy on D-Day, emblazoned with a message, “That’s All, Brother.” Specialized in aviation watches, Tockr joined with the Commemorative Air Force to honor the brave veterans who gave it all on D-Day with the launch of a limited-edition watch series, the Tockr D-Day C-47.

The commemorative watches feature dials made with salvaged material from this storied paratrooper transport and each completely unique dial bears the genuine markings of its past. The first 100 watches pre-launched to CAF members in October, then launched to the public in November, and sold out by mid-December. Due to this unprecedented demand and interest ahead of the 75th anniversary of D-Day in 2019, Tockr will issue a second batch of 100 pieces in January of 2019.

Once again, Tockr will donate a portion of the proceeds from each Tockr D-Day C-47 watch sale ($1,990 retail value), to help fund CAF’s mission of education and preservation, restoring and maintaining the historic “That’s All, Brother” aircraft for future generations.

The original 100-piece Tockr D-Day C-47 series came in three dial variations, with choice of “Clean Cut,” “Stamped,” or “Hard Worn,” styles which the brand will reprise in this second edition. Tockr returned to CAF after the first batch sold out to collect more salvaged material from the restoration of “That’s All, Brother” to cut for the watch dials of the second edition. Every dial type’s unique character reflects the perilous journey the aircraft undertook during World War II combat service. As in the first edition, the original markings on the airplane – whether painted, stamped, or weathered – have been carefully preserved on each watch dial.

A 42mm cushion-shaped case by legendary watch designer Emmanuel Gueit provides the perfect frame for each dial, a precious piece of history, preserved beneath a special anti-corrosion sealant. Through an anti-glare sapphire crystal, the wearer can admire the Tockr D-Day C-47’s richly textured dial, over which a distinctive, airplane-shaped second-hand coated in orange SuperLuminova ticks along in a clever visual cue that links the timepiece to the “That’s All, Brother” paratrooper transport.

Born in Austin, Texas, and assembled in Switzerland, a Swiss automatic ETA-2824-A6 movement forms the beating heart of this historically significant watch. Each Tockr D-Day C-47 watch comes presented in a military-inspired keepsake wooden box with two straps: a drab green strap made from canvas webbing and a brown leather band.

In 2019, CAF and “That’s All, Brother” will return to the skies over Normandy for the commemoration of the 75th anniversary of D-Day, retracing the path from the United States to England and on to Normandy. The launch of the Tockr D-Day C-47 marks the passage of time and the upcoming 75th anniversary of D-Day, while perpetuating the legacy of the brave veterans who accompanied “That’s All, Brother” on that fateful day for generations to come.
