With the new ProMare Go, the ProMare family has now welcomed a practical addition hot off the starting block and featuring a clever bidirectional bezel that enables wearers to quickly mark important moments in time.
This robust sports watch helps its wearers to fulfil the athletic ambitions by providing them with a practical extra: a bidirectional bezel that enables them to quickly and easily mark the start of their sailing trip, mountain hike or cycling tour. If they synchronise the triangular marking of the bezel with the minute hand, for example, they can see how much time has passed at a glance by looking at the 60-minute scale of the bezel.
It is precisely this bezel function that inspired the addition of “Go”, a word, command and call of encouragement all rolled into one, to the name of the new ProMare. The name shared by all of the models in this family, “ProMare”, can be traced back to a Latin term meaning “for the sea” and this watch most definitely lives up to its name. With its high-quality case featuring a screw-in crown, 2.5-millimetre-thick sapphire crystal and a watertightness of up to 30 bars, this robust sports watch is an absolute must for the wrist of anyone embarking on any kind of outdoor or water adventure. The case of the ProMare Go has a diameter of 42 millimetres, thus making this the ideal watch to adorn even a more delicate athletic wrist.
The timepiece’s main nautical value, its high degree of robustness, is complemented by its extremely clear face, which is very easy to read. Its hands and indices fully coated in luminous material and second hand with a light blue tip stand out against its shiny background as blue as the deep sea to form the perfect contrast. When the clouds begin to gather or the darkness of night draws in, the watch also proves its worth as an outstanding companion that helps wearers to find their way through time at night, as is emphasised by its highly luminescent triangle at the 12 o’clock position.
On top of its strengths in terms of design, robustness and clarity, the ProMare Go additionally offers excellent precision thanks to its SW 200-1 Mühle version movement. This key element is not only comprised of the company’s own rotor but also its patented woodpecker neck regulation, which is mounted on a balance cock developed specifically for the movement.
Mühle-Glashütte developed its very own fine regulation back in 2003 and has been relying on it to enable the particularly precise regulation of its time measuring instruments produced in Glashütte ever since. The regulation also offers another advantage in the form of a regulator arm reliably held in place by a specially formed counter-pressure spring, thus making it extremely shockproof. Just like its sporty wearers, the watch’s woodpecker neck regulation is therefore able to withstand even the hardest of knocks and blows, presenting both an essential functional element and a main advantage of Mühle-Glashütte’s sporty timepieces.
