Christopher Ward C1 Grand Malvern Worldtimer

The C1 Grand Malvern Worldtimer, the latest addition to the Christopher Ward C1 Grand Malvern Collection houses an updated version of Calibre JJ03. This re-engineered in-house modification powers a 24-hour GMT ring that circles around a dial containing both a world map and an international cities ring, allowing its wearer to read the time anywhere across the world in a moment’s glance.

The new watch, in keeping with the C1 Grand Malvern collection, has an understated aesthetic with a crisp blue and white colour scheme applied to the new North Pole-centred world map – white for land, blue for the world’s oceans – with one splash of colour found in an orange “radar” marker.

For a watch displaying the text of 24 international cities around its exterior, clarity was a crucial factor. As a result, the C1’s hour and minute hands have been filled with T-C1 Super-LumiNova®, to assist with legibility, while its case measures in at 43.5mm. The new timepiece is extremely well proportioned thanks to the Grand Malvern’s signature case design, a structure that blends brushed and polished surfaces with artfully sculpted ‘light-catcher’ lines.
