The new C65 Trident Diver from Christopher Ward takes inspirations from the designs of diving watches of 1960s. This contemporary mechanical timepiece occupies a unique space in-between Christopher Ward’s dive and dress collections, providing an extremely versatile watch with vintage appeal.

Instead of 38mm and 43mm case sizes usually found within the brands best-selling Trident collection, the new C65 Trident Diver watch comes dressed in a 41mm diameter case. The watch’s marine-grade stainless steel case construction utilises a variety of polished and brushed surfaces, which when combined ensures that the piece appears slim on the wrist.

The C65 Trident Diver will be available in two colourways (a deep blue or a sophisticated black) with the dial matching the bezel on both versions. On the dial, baton-shaped hands filled with Old Radium SuperLuminova, the signature Trident-shaped counterbalance and a glass box sapphire crystal are combined to create an elegant masculinity that emulates the style of dive watches that were popular in 1960s.

The watch is powered with the Swiss-made Sellita SW210 hand-wound movement. The SW210’s 3.35mm height made it the perfect choice to fit within the C65 Trident Diver’s newly designed case, which measures in at just 11.5mm high. Significantly, it has also been engraved with Christopher Ward’s twin flag pattern and Colimaçoné decoration.

The C65 Trident Diver will be available on a quality vintage oak leather strap in either camel or black and rubber strap in blue or black, priced at £695 / $795.
