Seiko has released a limited edition Presage watch (reference SJE073J1) with its new Caliber 6L35.
Seiko Cal. 6L35 is a new, slimmer automatic movement which measures just 3.7 mm. The brand presents a new Presage watch with this movement in a limited edition of 1881 pieces, in recognition of Seiko’s founding year.
Not only is the movement itself thinner, but the new case construction allows the slimness to be accentuated. The movement is inserted from the front of the case which allows the sides to be angled inwards and for the watch to sit more comfortably on the wrist.
This construction requires that the bezel is removed when the watch is opened for servicing. To ensure the watch’s durability, the bezel is screwed down and covered with a secondary bezel to preserve the perfect lines of the case.
The Seiko Caliber 6L35 offers a power reserve of 45 hours. It beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour.
The dial features dauphine hour and minute hands. Moreover, it has a delicate, textured pattern reminiscent of Grand Seiko Snow Flake dials. The second hand in blue tempered steel adds further elegance to this watch. It also has a date window at 3 o’clock.
The super-hard coated stainless case measures 40.7 mm in diameter. It has a thickness of just 9.8 mm. The case also spotlights Seiko’s Zaratsu polish finishing. The sapphire crystal has a super-clear coating to ensure high legibility in all conditions.
The Seiko Presage Reference SJE073J1(JDM number SARA015) comes with a super-hard coated stainless steel bracelet.
