OMEGA Seamaster Diver 300M Titanium Tantalum Limited Edition

Along with the new Seamaster Diver 300M edition launched on the occasion of the popular watch collection’s 25th anniversary this year, OMEGA also created a special, collectible model with titanium and tantalum, limited to 2,500 pieces.

OMEGA Seamaster Diver 300M Titanium Tantalum Limited Edition

Discovered by Swedish scientist Anders Ekeberg in 1802, Tantalum (Symbol Ta & Atomic Number 73) is a rare metal with blue-gray colour. The metal is very hard and features excellent corrosion resistance.

The Seamaster Diver 300 M was released in 1993. A major attraction of the collection was the Seamaster Professional automatic chronograph model in titanium case with tantalum and 18 carat gold. This year, inspired by this iconic chronograph featuring a rare metal combination, omega presents a new three hands watch with titanium, tantalum and 18K Sedna™ gold.

Dressed in a 42 mm diameter titanium case, the new limited edition Titanium Tantalum model follows the same facelift principles as the new Seamaster Diver 300M collection and features the conical helium escape valve, wave-edged caseback and the integrated bracelet.

In this new watch, Tantalum has been used for the base of the bezel, as well as in the middle links of the bracelet. The metal’s blue-grey tones offer a subtle contrast to the grade 2 titanium brushed case and bracelet. This Limited Edition model also includes touches of 18K Sedna™ gold, which can be seen on the crown, bezel ring, helium escape valve, bracelet links and hands.

Turning the timepiece over reveals a transparent caseback, featuring an image of the OMEGA Seahorse, which is an iconic symbol associated with the Seamaster line. Through the sapphire-crystal, the wearer can also admire the Master Chronometer movement 8806, certified by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS).
