Rado presents a new version of HyperChrome Chronograph by combining high-tech ceramic with bronze. Both materials have their own superficial features: Bronze makes each timepiece unique with the passage of time by developing a rich patina, and the high-tech ceramic has the benefits of being lightweight, scratch resistant and hypoallergenic.
Limited to 999 pieces, this new model has a 45mm diameter scratch resistant high-tech ceramic case finished in matt midnight black. Instead of ceramic bracelet, this timepiece is fitted with a supple brown vintage look leather strap.
Adding to this harmonious contrast are side inserts and chronograph pushers crafted in bronze. Rose gold coloured hands and indexes echo the subtle metallic sheen of the bronze, while a bezel engraved with a tachometric scale provides additional functionality.
The initial pale gold colour of the HyperChrome’s bronze elements deepens with time, developing a matt vintage-look patina that is unique to each watch and wearer. As the bronze ages, darkening and taking on more character, it forms a handsome contrast to the flawless high-tech ceramic surfaces of the case.
