Swiss watch brand Rado has long been known for its use of unconventional, high-tech materials and for pioneering their use in the world of watchmaking.

Plasma high-tech ceramic is one such material whose use Rado pioneered. Since it first appeared in 1998, it has become both a mainstay of the collection and inextricably linked with the Rado story. Naturally, for the case of new 2018 DiaMaster Petite Seconde Automatic COSC Rado has chosen this high tech material, which is scratch-resistant and durable.

In this new timepiece, in addition to the plasma high-tech ceramic case, Rado welcomes another innovative material : silicon, a natural, light and hardwearing material placed at the heart of the new DiaMaster Petite Seconde in the form of the hairspring that has helped this new model achieve the prestigious COSC certification for chronometric precision.

The watch boasts a typical clean, rounded 43 mm DiaMaster case and the open, clear and easy to read dial in silvered with rose gold coloured highlights or blue with white gold coloured detailing. This DiaMaster watch comes fitted with a soft leather crocodile print strap.
