British luxury watch brand Christopher Ward is introducing the C8 P2725 Automatic, a timepiece inspired by the success of the C9 P2725 TM-B Limited Edition, the popular 100-piece release that was created to honour RAF Pilot Flight Lieutenant Ray Holmes’ heroism on Battle of Britain Day.
The new timepiece is powered by the Swiss-made Sellita SW 200-1 movement housed in a protective, anti-magnetic Faraday cage within this watch. On the dial, the C8 features a concentric inner hour ring whose combination of Old Radium and SLN T-C1 SuperLumiNova® Arabic numerals alternates with the minute track around it.
As a reference to the facility that helped refine the iconic Spitfire’s design, the Farnborough wind tunnel is deep-stamped into the back-plate, a feature that has become a calling card for Christopher Ward’s entire C8 collection along with the distinctive motif that has been stamped onto the circular brushed, serrated crown of this piece.
The C8 P2725 Automatic watch is fitted on a camel, brown or black Tiber leather strap with whip-stitch detailing. This affordable edition comes with a retail price of £650.
