Oris updates its Divers Sixty-Five watch collection with new 36mm models.
Back in the 1960s, Oris entered the diver’s watch market with a series of high-quality mechanical watches that offered divers functionality, reliability and style. More than half a century later, the independent Swiss company has built on that philosophy and continues to create watches respected by and relied upon by the international diving community.
One of those is the Divers Sixty-Five, a model based on a design introduced in 1965. The current series retains the retro look of the original, only today’s watches are built using modern manufacturing techniques and materials. So while the Divers Sixty-Five has the look of a vintage watch, it has an anti-corrosive stainless steel case and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal over the dial.
This year, Oris is introducing a new 36mm case size into the collection to cater for smaller wrists. The aesthetic created by the deep blue dial and vintage lume remains, as does the automatic mechanical movement.
The leather and rubber straps available on the new Divers Sixty-Five models feature a quick-change system so owners can switch between straps without visiting a jeweller.
