Iceland based premium mechanical watch brand JS Watch Company introduces new addition to the Frisland 1941 collection of watches, originally created to honour the 70 year history of Reykjavik airport which was built by the British army during World War II on the south coast of Reykjavík peninsula, then a small town.
After the war the British handed the airport operation over to the Icelandic government and since then it has been operated by the Icelandic Civil Aviation Authority.
This watch comes in a 42 mm case made from the finest German surgical grade Stainless Steel “316L” with a curved anti reflective sapphire crystal front glass and see-through sapphire crystal back.
The new Frisland 1941 model features a sunburst blue dial with Arabic luminous numerals, luminous pilot style hands and red central seconds hand. The watch comes fitted with a handmade 20mm Buffalo pilot strap in black or brown or a steel bracelet.
The watch houses a Swiss Made mechanical movement “Execution Top” with automatic winding. This 25 jewel movement featuring custom decorations, blue screws and rhodium plated finish can be examined in detail through a sapphire crystal case back.
The Frisland 1941 pilot watch is also available in sunburst black and silver dial versions.
