Thomas Earnshaw received an award from the Board of Longitude in 1805 following his work in creating simplifications that made trans-navigation all the more achievable and safer. Now, his namesake watch brand pays tribute to this achievement by creating a new model from its dress watch collection Longitude.

The Shadow edition of the Longitude references this via subtle hints through the see through caseback now lightly lined with vertical lines and with a great detail of finish and detail on the dial. Crafted out of solid stainless steel, the 44 mm diameter case continues the flowing lines of the Longitude family silhouette and completes itself with a vintage serrated “pumpkin” style crown.

A smoky translucent dial frames the see through skeleton movement which displays sun/moon display, a secondary timezone and a view into the rotating flywheel. An hour and minute track is comprised of facetted baton markers – that correspond to Breguet style hands sweeping over the dial face effortlessly. The Longitude Shadow automatic is supplied with a supple, elegant genuine leather strap.
