Sinn Spezialuhren Celebrates the Opening Ceremony of Its New Headquarters in Frankfurt-Sossenheim

On November 9 this year, German watch brand Sinn Spezialuhren celebrated the opening of its new headquarters at Wilhelm-Fay-Strasse 21. During the ceremony the company presented the novelty 1746 Heimat, a tribute to the hometown Frankfurt am Main.

The first Frankfurt Financial District Watch is a testament to the brand’s strong roots in Frankfurt am Main and the company’s special relationship with this location. The extremely fine rhodium-coated relief dial of the 1746 Heimat Watch is inspired by the traditional diamond pattern of Frankfurt’s popular cider glasses, also known as Gerippte. The three-dimensional diamond pattern creates an incredibly vibrant interplay of light and shade on the cider glasses.

A close look at the relief on the dial of the 1746 Heimat reveals this watch to be just as vibrant and three-dimensional, with a wide range of surface characteristics from polished to matt silk. This effect is a result of the electroforming technique used in the production process.

This method allows complex three-dimensional surface structures to be achieved with a high degree of precision. The relief dial is coated with rhodium to get an exquisite silver-white shine. This watch has a pressure-resistant up to 10 bar and resistant to low pressure.

The opening ceremony was attended by business partners and employees of the brand as well as Markus Frank, city councillor, as a representative of the city of Frankfurt am Main and Jürgen Fried, major of the city of Neunkirchen, hometown of Mr. Schmidt.

Since 1 September, customers are able to purchase their watches here directly and benefit from the very generously sized sales- and showroom. Watch lovers are able to view the entire collection first-hand. They also have the opportunity to admire past models from Sinn Spezialuhren which are no longer available. In addition to the production of high-quality timepieces, the location boasts with direct sales from a dedicated showroom, as well as customer service tasks. The total space swapped from 1.950 m² from the old location up to 4.650 m² including sufficient parking space.
