Barcelona based luxury watch atelier Atelier de Chronométrie presents its fourth collection, the AdC#4. This special horology creation comes dressed in an classic 18k white gold Calatrava case and proudly features an amazing “cloisonné” enamel dial with 35 different colors and hues that enhance the beauty of the Planet Earth and the Moon from outer space.
Equipped with a hand-made calibre (Base calibre is Omega caliber 266), this micro-mechanical marvel integrates a poetic horological complication on the base plate that makes the dial do a full turn each 5 hours 20 minutes. Production is strictly limited to 42 new pieces, all completely handmade without using CNC milling machines.
Watch makers at Atelier de Chronométrie has carried out special modifications and finishing on the base calibre. The movement that powers the AdC#44 timepiece 4 features superior bridges made of German Silver (Arcap) entirely crafted and decorated by hand using artisanal methods. The bridges have a bicoloured finish that combines 18k rose gold plated on the superior frosting, flanks and inferior “perlage” and the natural color of the German silver for the “anglage”.
Further, the rachet click is completely handmade in one single piece of carbon steel and is finished by file. The rachet and the crown wheel are mate finished and the crown wheel core is fully handmade. The balance is a “free sprung balance” regulated by inertial screws. The movement has a hidden piton system under the balance bridge to allow a better vision of the balance. The original train wheel from the Omega cal. 266 is modified and improved. The brass wheels are rhodium-plated to avoid corrosion.
The anchor escape original from the Omega calibre, is decorated to enhance its beauty. The “romantic” complication is integrated on the base plate (without any additional plate) that makes the 18k gold dial base do a full turn every 5 hours 20 minutes. It can be adapted at 12h or 24h.
The minimalist handmade three-body Calatrava case crafted from 18 carat white gold featuring elongated lugs and concave bezel enhances the beauty and the power of such a “cloisonné” dial.
A “cloisonné” dial made with 35 different colors and hues (opaque, opal and transparent and Mica powders) that rotates and represents another perspective of outer space that enhances the beauty of Planet Earth, the Moon and the Universe.
The complication located on the base plate of the movement allows the dial do an entire rotation each 5 hours and 20 minutes. Time indication is done by the elegant two 18k yellow gold artisanal hands.
