The sensational Konstantin Chaykin Joker watch was unveiled at the Basel-world show in March 2017. With this highly expressive timekeeper, the Russian watchmaker introduced a new series called Wristmons.
Konstantin Chaykin is a great fan of works of Stephen King, the world-renowned American author known as the king of horrors. In September 2017, the American supernatural horror film “It” was released. Directed by Andrés Muschietti, this movie is an adaptation of the 1986 novel of the same name by Stephen King.
To mark the release of the screen version of the novel “It”, Konstantin Chaykin presents CLOWN, a new avatar of the famous Joker watch.
CLOWN, the new wristmon (wristmonster) by Konstantin Chaykin takes inspiration from the character of Pennywise the Dancing Clown of Andrés Muschietti’s film.
In the new interpretation the look on Joker’s face still changes every minute due to the work of the proprietary module with a two-disk current time display (hours and minutes are the pupils with the yellow iris), and the moon phase indicator is a smile (it can be corrected with the help of a correction pusher which is set on the left side of a 42 mm steel case).
The Konstantin Chaykin CLOWN watch is equipped with Caliber K07-0, is assembled on the basis of the time-tested Swiss automatic mechanism ETA 2824-2.
In Stephen King’s 1986 horror novel It, the shapeshifting monster preys upon the children of Derry ( a fictional town) every 27 years. Inspired by this, the new Konstantin Chaykin Joker Clown watch series is limited to 27 pieces.
A part of the sum achieved from the sale of each timepiece will go into the disposal of the charitable organization which activities relate to helping sick children.
