Launch in a 50 piece limited edition collection, the C50 Malvern Chronometer from Anglo-Swiss watchmaker Christopher Ward celebrates the Mk II Malvern design, one of the brand’s most well-known dress watch designs.
The C50 Malvern Chronometer Limited Edition has been created as the archetypal Malvern and this edition is the last in a well-loved lineage. Priced at £850, the watch is available on a shell cordovan strap with a bader buckle deployment.
Its 39mm diameter stainless steel houses a COSC-certified ETA 2836 movement, which features a highly detailed rotor, finished with Christopher Ward’s ‘twin flag’ pattern. The movement can be admired through the sapphire crystal case-back.
Within a curved steel bezel, which will be familiar to fans of the ‘Mk II Malvern’ aesthetic, a single curve top sapphire crystal reveals a domed sunray finish blue dial. With a distinctive character and an applied, polished window the dial reveals white day and date discs marked in black.
Detailed round its circumference with a full minute ring and individually-applied polished steel baton markers at 5-minute intervals, the dial highlights its use as a supremely accurate timekeeping tool. Hour minute and second hands, in distinguishing Malvern style, are refined yet legible in a polished finish.
