Corum Bubble Big Magical Matt Barnes
In partnership with Canadian photographer Matt Barnes, Swiss watchmaker Corum presents a special edition timepiece from its impressive Bubble collection.
Matt Barnes lives in a pop-inspired world that combines old school with the latest trends. With his head in the clouds but his feet on the ground, the born dreamer took this brilliant photograph of a voodoo figure, which showcases the talented photographer’s keen eye.
Bringing nuances to the dark tones of the dial and its relief, the titanium case and vulcanised rubber strap also feature dark and mysterious colours. The ever more original Bubble reveals a watch without numerals that hides its hands inside the dial, heightening the mystery radiating from the model.
In keeping with its innovative direction, Corum is presenting a Bubble in an all-new Big format so as to better showcase the works held tenderly captive by the famous sapphire dome and to give the whole piece a marvellously bubble-like effect.
About Matt Barnes
Matt Barnes is a photographer based in Toronto. Fascinated by all pop culture influencers, vintage and modern alike, he has notably photographed Snoop Dogg, Bradley Cooper, Nick Wooster and Lexi Belle, among others. Not content with capturing images, he also creates commercial productions for brands such as Red Bull, Sony, Xbox, Virgin, Pepsi and Jägermeister, to name but a few.
Matt Barnes also produces films as part of his visual media activities. Coincidentally, he filmed a video starring Elisabetta Fantone, who is also a Corum ambassador. Describing himself as a man with his head in the clouds but his feet on the ground, he joins Corum in a spirit of innovation that combines old and new.
