Inspired by its founder, who only bought and sold the very best diamonds, the House of Harry Winston acquired the Winston Legacy diamond in 2013. Described by Christie’s auction house as “the most perfect diamond ever offered for sale at auction,” the 101.73- carat flawless diamond was originally discovered in Botswana. Cut from a 236-carat rough diamond to a perfectly polished pear-shaped gem, the finished diamond took nearly two years to complete. Named the Winston Legacy, the gemstone broke a record for the highest price paid for a diamond at auction.

Legacy diamond and replicates the silhouette of the pear-shaped stone on its platinum case. Set at an angle, the majestic pear-shaped case is framed by 31 baguette-cut diamonds, which encloses the mesmerizing composition of its interior diamonds. A closer look reveals that the diamonds set on the dial are arranged to recreate the facets of a pear shaped diamond. The classic shape and rich volume of the pear-shaped silhouette, with a single point and a rounded end, is replicated to perfection on the dial thanks to the artful setting of the diamonds.
Harry Winston’s gem setters have used an invisible setting for the 52 baguette-cut diamonds that cover the pear-shaped dial. A signature setting of the House of Harry Winston, the art of invisible setting is the most difficult and elaborate of all stone-setting techniques. By creating a solid surface of gemstones, an invisible setting allows the stones to float above the surface in their natural splendor.
Composed of 62 marquise and 47 brilliant-cut diamonds, the platinum high jewelry bracelet gently embraces the pear-shaped dial, with a scintillating stream of diamonds that flows in either direction towards the fully integrated and hidden clasp. Fluid, articulated and extremely comfortable to wear, the effect of the contrasting diamond cuts, with each catching and reflecting the light at different angles, creates a dazzling spectacle on the wrist.
