Featuring an eye catching Moonphase display at 6 o’clock of white “Grand Feu” enamel dial, the Heritage Perpetual Moon marks the introduction of the Heritage family of watches, joining Endeavour, Venturer and Pioneer in the H. Moser & Cie. collection.
Drawing inspiration from H. Moser pocket watches, cases in the Heritage collection are rounded with refined accents that complement the engraving and blue enamel on the case flanks. Honouring tradition and craftsmanship, this decoration is a feature of Heritage collection models. The distinctive classicism of the Heritage Perpetual Moon is evident in the notched crown and “Grand Feu” enamel on the dial, enlivened by the hand-painted Roman numerals and the flame-blued swallow-tail hands. Elegance and refinement have been watchwords for the creation of this exceptional piece, with fine lugs that enhance its traditional character.
Yet, true to H. Moser & Cie.’s philosophy, the Heritage Perpetual Moon offers an interesting contradiction; blending genres and blurring lines. The classical character of the watch is distinguished from the resolutely contemporary design and sophisticated moon phase display.
The Heritage Perpetual Moon is powered by the HMC 801 hand-wound Manufacture calibre, equipped with an interchangeable Moser escapement, ensuring the watch has a minimum 7-day power reserve, with a power reserve indicator on the movement side. In addition, the Heritage Perpetual Moon features a small centre hand that serves as an AM/PM indicator, rotating once every 24 hours with the hour indices 12 to 6 o’clock representing AM from midnight to midday and the left side of the dial representing PM from 1 p.m. to midnight. The moon phases are adjusted with a push-button on the side of the case, guaranteeing a precise display that can be set, read and predicted to within a minute.
As with all new models produced from January 1st, 2017, this watch will not feature the Swiss Made label on the dial as the Schaffhausen-based Manufacture, whose creations are over 95% Swiss, does not consider the label sufficiently rigorous.
