November 10, 2016 saw the premiere in Tokyo of the latest Boutique shared by Swatch Group sister brands Glashütte Original and Jaquet Droz. The new venue continues the success story that began three years ago with the opening in Geneva, Switzerland, of the first of the two prestige brands’ shared points of sale. The highlight of the event, along with the inauguration of the new space, was the first-ever presentation in Japan of the finest of timepieces, the new Senator Excellence Panorama Date and Moon Phase models.
The two watch brands share 60 square meters on the 4th floor of the building. Visitors can experience at first hand just how much the two manufactories – from Glashütte in Germany and La-Chaux-de-Fonds in Switzerland – have in common, and how well their respective brand worlds complement each other.
Entering the Boutique, one finds Jaquet Droz to the right, presenting itself to visitors in an elegant combination of black, grey and silver. To the left, Glashütte Original welcomes guests with a successful blending of dark moor oak, lacquered surfaces in beige, and light-coloured leather.
