MACMILLAN – Watches Inspired by Urban Cycling

Young watch brand MACMILLAN presents a collection of unisex watches inspired by urban cycling.

Founders of the brand, Antoine Hirschi and Sébastien Gerber established their own brand in 2015 and chose the brand name MACMILLAN as a tribute to 19th century Scottish inventor and blacksmith Kirkpatrick Macmillan, who invented the first pedal driven bicycle.

Inspired by the world of cycling, MACMILLAN timepieces strike a perfect balance between simplicity, quality, elegance, and usefulness. Each watch is constructed of high quality components.

Measuring 40mm diameter and 10mm thickness, the stainless steel case comes in a polished finish and also available in yellow gold colour or black PVD variations. Front glass is made of mineral crystal. The watch features a knurled crown at 3’o clock. Dial is available in black sunray, textured white or black mat versions.

12, 3, 6 & 9 hours are represented by four applied indexes matching the case version and Arabic numerals represent other hour markers. The dots representing the hour markers and hour& minute hands are luminous. A small window at 3’o clock indicates date. Just below 12’o clock, you can find the brand logo inspired by the world of cycling.

Movement inside the timepiece is Miyota GM10 quartz calibre. Water resistance of the watch is 30 meters. The MACMILLAN watches are available with an option of Italian leather brands for a classic look and NATO straps for a casual look.

The entire collection of MACMILLAN watches is available for pre-order exclusively through Kickstarter until November 19.
