Christopher Ward Announces Partnership with Morgan Motor Company
Luxury watch brand Christopher Ward has announced a unique new partnership with iconic British motor car manufacturer, Morgan Motor Company.
This exciting new partnership will see premium watch brand Christopher Ward take inspiration from the legendary British car maker’s craftsmanship and engineering, creating a timepiece collection which will be available exclusively to Morgan car owners.
The form and performance of beautiful classic cars has always influenced the wider watch industry, but especially so for luxury British watch brand Christopher Ward, who have already released several successful watches inspired by classic cars.
The partnership is a natural step for Christopher Ward and Morgan Motor Company, given the parallels between the two brands. Both companies define themselves by pride in their British heritage and design – with one eye on the past with their elegant, classic designs, and one eye on the future with their cutting-edge engineering.
The first timepiece to be revealed in the collaborative collection is the Bespoke 3 Wheeler Chronometer. In tribute to Morgan’s legendary 3-wheeler motorcar, this watch couples the 3-wheeler’s design DNA with advanced horology.
The Bespoke 3 Wheeler Chronometer has a streamlined yet classic profile. It is housed in Christopher Ward’s premium C1 case, and is powered by their Swiss-made in-house movement, the COSC-certified Calibre SH21.The watch, which will be available from May 2017, will be exclusively available to current and former owners of a Morgan motorcar. Morgan owners will also be able to have the chassis number of their automobile engraved into their watch, to make the timepiece even more unique.
The wider partnership will see the two forward-thinking brands collaborate on further timepieces to be announced in 2017, and other ventures.
