Swiss watch brand Oris presents a Big Crown ProPilot Altimeter limited edition as a tribute to Switzerland’s air rescue service Rega, one of the world’s most advanced air rescue organisations.
The Oris Altimeter Rega is based on the Big Crown ProPilot Altimeter, the world’s first automatic mechanical watch with a built-in mechanical altimeter.
The watch is a highly technical piece of equipment, featuring an integrated mechanical barometric altimeter, and air pressure and altitude displays (available in feet or meters). This is a unique combination when it comes with an automatic mechanical watch. A great feature is the Rega logo at 9 o’clock on the dial.
Its stainless steel case and folding clasp are both coated in antireflective grey PVD, while its grey fabric strap has a red leather lining.
The case back is embossed with a Rega helicopter and engraved with the limited edition number. In total,1,414 pieces will be made, a figure inspired by the Rega emergency telephone number used in Switzerland.

The Oris Altimeter Rega Limited Edition will be available for CHF 3,950 from March 2017.
