Established by Dodi Vasquez, Kratos is a brand new entrant to the promising micro-watch industry. The story of this new watch brand begins with an accident. Two years back, brother of Dodi Vasquez met an unfortunate car accident and suffered with traumatic brain injury.
The debut collection from the Kratos Watch Company is a dedication to Dodi Vasquez’s brother. The project is also being supported by two members of Instagram #watchfam community which generously assisted Dodi and his family to meet the medical expenses.
The debut model from Kratos is christened as Cerebrum, which is the Latin word for brain. Featuring an original and unique design, this automatic dive watch boasts a wave pattern on the dial resembling the texture of brain.
Crafted in CuSn8 marine grade bronze, Cerebrum’s case measures 42mm diameter and has a domed sapphire crystal front glass with an AR coating. The screw down stainless steel caseback is also engraved with brain inspired waves.
Inside beats the popular Miyota 9015 Automatic movement manufactured in Japan. It has 24 Jewels, hacking seconds, and a date complication.
The Kratos Cerebrum will be available in White, Black, Green, and Brown dial versions along with or without date complication. The C3 Superluminova Lumed hands and hour markers increase the legibility in dark conditions.
The Kratos Cerebrum can withstand atmospheric pressures up to 30ATM making it suitable for scuba and recreational diving activities up to 300 meters.
Kratos Watch Company has recently launched an online crowd funding campaign for the initial mass production of Cerebrum watch collection. By backing this campaign, the customers can pre-order the timepiece in a discounted price range starting from $349.
