Swiss Watchmaker Alpina Renews Its Collaboration with the French Ski Federation & Introduces New Brand Ambassador, Nastasia Noens

The French Ski Federation hosted the presentation of the 2017 Official French National Team last Monday at the Pavillon Gabriel in Paris, among the sport’s major players and specialized press.

During the event, Swiss watch brand Alpina has announced the renewal of its collaboration as the Official Watch of the French Ski Federation. Alpina also sponsors French World Cup alpine ski racer Victor Muffat-Jeandet, and now the brand welcomes new comer Nastasia Noens as its new Ambassador.

Nastasia Noens will race as an Alpina athlete in the 2016/2017 FIS World cup, alongside Victor Muffat-Jeandet who joined the Alpina Team last year.

Nastasia will wear the Alpina Horological Smartwatch for Ladies, which will support her in optimizing her activity and sleep profiles, which can contribute towards increasing performance.

Alpina is actively increasing its collaboration within the skiing universe which already includes collaborations with Italian FIS World-Cup skier Luca de Aliprandini and French Free riding Legend Aurélien Ducroz.

About Nastasia Noens
Nastasia Noens joins the Alpina team of ambassadors for the 2016/2017 season. Nastasia Noens and Alpina are united by their love for Alpine sports, the Alpine universe and identify with the same “Alpinists” values, perseverance and heritage, which both believe are the foundations for any sports, professional and personal success. She is a World Cupalpine ski racer from France. Born in 1988 in Nice, Alpes-Maritimes, she competes in the technical events and specializes in slalom.

She earned the bronze medal at the Junior World Championship in 2008. She stepped onto the podium twice for a Slalom World Championship, earning 3rd place at Flachau in 2011, and at Bormio in January 2014. Nastasia also represented France at the 2010 Winter Olympics. Last season, she was favorite to reach another podium, unfortunately after a nasty fall during the second leg of the Alpine Ski World Championship in Saint- Moritz, she suffered a torn cruciate ligament. For this reason, Nastasia was not present at the Paris Presentation, nevertheless she is working hard towards full recovery, to start competing as soon as possible.

Founded in 1924, it is a state-approved Law 1901 association. President of the French Ski Federation, Michel Vion’s main mission is to promote and develop ski and snowboard activities in France. The French Ski Federation manages on its national territory both Olympic disciplines: Alpine Skiing, Cross-Country Skiing, Ski Jumping, Nordic Combined, Freestyle Skiing and Snowboarding and non-Olympic disciplines: speed skiing, grass skiing and telemark.

The French Ski Federation numbers about 130 000 members (85 000 leisure members and 50000 competitors/management members) divided into 1000 ski clubs depending on 17 regional committees. The French Ski Federation clubs are user-friendly places which should enable each member to find the best conditions to practice its favorite discipline or to discover new activities.
