Christened after the Irish word for music, the Ceol Minute Repeater wristwatch manufactured by independent watch makers McGonigle successfully alliances one of the most valuable horology complications with hand-engraving and high-end horology finishing techniques.
Inspired by the designs of classical minute repeaters, the Ceol Minute Repeater boasts traditional Celtic designs hand engraved on the movement bridges. The highly complicated relief hand engraving on the timepiece has been carried out by Frances McGonigle, sister of John McGonigle and Stephen McGonigle.
Crafted in precious white gold, the round case measuring 41mm diameter houses a mechanical hand wound, minute repeater movement decorated and finished according to the highest traditions of mechanical watch making. The handmade enamel dial stands out thanks to its simplicity. The handmade hour and minute hands in polished steel with grained gold arrow heads indicate the time as a team with Arabic numeral hour markers.
Turning back the timepiece, one can admire the highly decorated movement featuring highly complex minute repeater mechanism, through the sapphire crystal caseback.
