Swiss watch brand Oris has announced the launch of a silvered opaline dial version of the innovative Artelier Calibre 111.
This eye-catching dial had previously only been available in the limited edition anniversary Calibre 110 watch collection launched in 2014, but now makes its debut in the industrialised version of that landmark watch.
Since it was introduced in 2015, the Artelier Calibre 111 has become one of most talked about Oris timepieces.
At its core is a traditional mechanical in-house movement that offers a unique combination of complications. The hand-wound Calibre 111 features a huge 10-day power reserve, a patented non-linear power reserve indicator and a date window at 9 o’clock. Oris is the only Swiss watch manufacturer with a movement that brings these features together in a single watch.
Calibre 111 was developed by Oris’s watchmakers over a period of six years. Its power reserve is fed by the standout feature of the movement’s architecture, a single, oversized barrel. That power is released evenly over a 10-day period and measured by the non-linear power reserve indicator at 3 o’clock.
This specially geared indicator shows the remaining power reserve with ever greater accuracy as the time to rewind the watch approaches. Oris has patented this development.
The new Artelier Calibre 111 with a silvered opaline dial is a traditional Swiss watch made in the Oris way. It comes in a 43mm stainless steel case and on a choice of dark brown, grey or black Louisiana croco leather straps, or on a stainless steel bracelet.
