Just months after revisiting the original a first time, Louis Erard returns with yet another interpretation of the small seconds watch. The 1931 spirit remains intact; the innovation lies with the dials, though without straying from the original design.
This time the dial is black, grey or blue in head-to-toe monochrome. Twelve rounded Arabic numerals set the tempo for silvered hands, driven by an automatic calibre whose oscillating weight comes decorated for the occasion.
Then as now, sobriety is the key. And one frivolous touch in the small seconds, offset at 9 o’clock in their own subdial. Despite its vintage lineage, these Small Seconds are very much part of the moment.
Only 500 of the black iteration will be made, each individually numbered and delivered in a unique presentation box with a Montegrappa pen.
