The Swiss watch manufacturer IWC Schaffhausen has announced the opening of its latest boutique in North America. Located on world-renowned Rodeo Drive, the new boutique will be IWC’s second flagship in the United States. IWC’s other boutiques in the US are found in the international shopping hotspots of New York City and Miami.
Rodeo Drive is known worldwide as an iconic destination and offers discerning customers the ultimate luxury shopping experience amidst the glitz and glamour of Los Angeles. As the epicentre of fashion, design, art and culture in southern California, a Flagship Boutique on Rodeo Drive has been a long-time goal for IWC Schaffhausen ever since opening the first US boutique in Beverly Hills in 2008.
The Rodeo Drive Flagship Boutique will feature an innovative retail concept, the frst of its kind in the United States.
The Rodeo Drive Flagship Boutique will celebrate IWC’s American heritage and its passion for and commitment to film. This celebration begins with the architecture, referencing the golden age of Hollywood of the 1920s and 1930s through an architectural blend of art deco and classic modernism and with the distinctive air of Hollywood glamour.
Art deco detailing, period features and an architecture bathed both in natural light and light shades are all reminiscent of the design of classic movie theatres. The interior exudes a delightful mix of influences from period landmarks and Sunset Boulevard estates.
With two floors of dedicated retail space, the new boutique will feature an exceptional collection of IWC’s timepieces on the ground level with product families in distinctly decorated areas. The mezzanine level is set up as a spacious film-themed lounge, featuring a gallery of IWC’s history in the film industry that comes to life via photographs, props and memorabilia.
The boutique features a mix of Macassar wood, polished stainless steel, Nero Seta and Carrara marble as well as luxurious carpets. In addition to stunning design elements, customers will be offered a unique digital experience, with digital screens positioned around the store, allowing a deeper insight into the fascinating world of luxury watches. Every attention is given to fine detailing and craftsmanship, which further emphasizes the technical pioneering spirit for which IWC is globally renowned.
