Swiss watch brand 88 RUE DU RHONE unveils LUMINARY, an elegant timepiece designed for women.
As happened with its predecessor, ALEXANDRA, the revenue of LUMINARY will be donated to the COURIR…ENSEMBLE FOUNDATION, a non-profit organisation based in Geneva, Switzerland, which works tirelessly to improve the life of children suffering from cancer at the Genevan Children’s Hospital.
Personally affected by cancer, CEO & Co-Founder, Pierre Bernheim was a frequent visitor to the Hospital where he supported a patient named Alexandra. After fighting a long battle with cancer, 11 year old Alexandra’s wish was for 88 RUE DU RHONE to design a watch especially for her. The brand chose to mark Alexandra’s strength and courage with a stunning pink diamond timepiece, which was named in her honour in 2014.
Inspired by the clear night sky studded with stars shining brightly, the LUMINARY is revealed. A mystical timepiece that is ideal for both evening and day wear. 88 RUE DU RHONE has combined the darkness of a midnight sky with flashes of pink from 28 topaz stones on the dial and one diamond that marks the light of the moon.
This new LUMINARY timepiece from 2015 new Collection, Rive, features a 32mm stainless steel case with a unique RUE DU RHONE side engraving that houses a quartz movement.
The dial is pearly black with an 8-filigree motif showcasing 28 pink topaz stones and one diamond. This feminine timepiece is finished with a black leather strap and stainless steel ardillon buckle.
