This exceptional autonomy goes hand in hand with unbeatable precision: the movement is certified by the Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres (COSC). The dial, safe beneath a faceted and domed sapphire crystal, presents a magnificent contrast between the anthracite sunray satinated finish and the brilliance of polished indexes.
Coupled with the generous opening of the case, this contrast gives the model unrivalled readability, as do the touches of orange – subtle reminders of Mido’s visual identity – that grace the seconds hand and the minute-circle numerals. All these qualities combined emphasise the sporty, elegant nature of the Commander Caliber 80 Chronometer.
The timepiece is fitted with a satinated steel case measuring 40 mm in diameter and a polished bezel. The aperture at 3 o’clock displays the day and date. Delicate touches of white Super LumiNova® decorate the hour and minute hands as well as the indexes, guaranteeing easy readability, even at night.
Water-resistant up to a pressure of 5 bar (50 m / 165 ft), this model is fitted with a satinated steel bracelet. The Commander Caliber 80 Chronometer also offers the fascinating view of decorative work adorning the automatic movement through the transparent case back.
