Seiko presents the new Marinemaster Professional 1000m Hi-Beat 36000 limited edition diving watch (reference SBEX001) to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the brand’s first diving watch.
The design of this fifty year anniversary model echoes that of Seiko’s very first hi-beat diver’s watch from the 1960’s, but its specifications are the most advanced in the field.
This professional diving timepiece offers a staggering water resistance of up to 1,000 meters. Moreover, it has a one-piece titanium case and L-shaped gasket, making it impermeable to helium and suitable for saturation diving. The rotating bezel is securely fixed to the case with four screws next to the 12 and 6 o’clock positions.
The Seiko Prospex SBEX001 Domestic Divers 50th Anniversary Limited watch features a black dial with the new Lumibrite for enhanced legibility.
It houses the Cal. 8L55, a high beat self-winding mechanical movement specially optimized and adapted for use in a diver’s watch with this structure. It beats at 36,000 vibrations per hour and provides a power reserve of 55 hours.
The Marinemaster Professional 1000m Diver’s Hi-Beat (ref. SBEX001) is a limited edition of 700 pieces. It comes in a special presentation box. Each timepiece has its own serial number. With this diving watch, Seiko is offering a titanium bracelet with extender, and a black extra-strength silicone strap.
