Maurice Lacroix Les Classiques Chronographe Automatic

The new Les Classiques Chrononographe from Maurice Lacroix delivers a high degree of accuracy, courtesy of its automatic ML112 movement. However, the tastefully styled layout of the dial could also be described as ‘precise’ with each element of its composition being the neat outcome of careful consideration by the Maurice Lacroix design team. Every aspect of the dial has been selected to enhance legibility and grant long-term ownership enjoyment. Numerous small details combine to form an eye catching design with lasting appeal. The new Les Classiques Chrononographe has a vintage feel, capturing the beauty of the past and distilled into a harmonious form relevant for today.

Les Classiques Chrononographe is presented in a 41mm stainless steel case, incorporating a new bezel design which has been reshaped to deliver a more contemporary look. Its stepped profile delivers a charming interaction with ambient light. The case combines polished and brushed surfaces in harmonious union. Two dial variants are offered, silver or black gold. Once again, progress is evident, with new dial details that deliver a greater sense of depth. The hour, minute and central chronograph seconds hands are 4N gold plated and incorporate diamond-cut surfaces.

The applied hour markers match the hands presented, emitting a brilliant gleam with their diamond cut facets. They sit on a snailed hour track, granting contrast with the adjacent surfaces.Three subdials arrest attention with their sandblasted finish and contrasting markings. A 12-hour chronograph is positioned at 6 o’clock, a small seconds display features at 9 o’clock and a 30-minute chronograph register resides below noon. The inclusion of a date display at 3 o’clock accords balance to the dial layout with all functions appearing optimally placed. Encircling the perimeter of the dial is a printed minute track, depicted on a sun-brushed surface.

The dial carefully avoids the superfluous, conveying essential information in a clear-cut, simple to interpret form. The subtle use of colour and texture enhances the legibility of the dial while granting Les Classiques Chrononographe with a graceful and sumptuous appearance.
