The saga of the Grand Feu enamel dials continues this year unabated in its success and is increasing popularity very quickly due to the high demand from the lovers of the art of the enamel. After the horse, the toucan, the frog, the snake, the tiger and the butterfly, this year the Dragon and the Fish adorn the 18K rose gold Atelier case.
The Paul Picot Atelier “l’Art de l’émail” dials are embellished using high quality ancestral techniques: Champlevé, Flinqué and enamelling. In the Champlevé technique, hollows are created to be filled with enamel. In Flinqué, incisions are made in the tiniest surfaces to intensify the colours. Lastly, the dial is enamelled. The enamel is carefully prepared and vitrified at 850 degrees Celsius.
